A beautiful Saturday morning was lit with beaming smiles and yellow shirts before the sun himself started his work. The HealthWalk to commence the best week in the Medical School started with hundreds of people – medical ¬†and non-medical students alike. The message to the citizens of the university and people of Cape Coast specifically, Abura and Pedu was clear. STI’s and Hepatitis B awareness was subtly created and the role of the medical student in reducing their prevalence was our theme. The Business school and other students on campus took a walk with us from the library through the principal street of Abura and Pedu while tunes from seasoned DJs fanned the flames of joy.

Aerobics session followed on the return to Medical Hostel on the Basketball Court. Muscles were tested and after some drinks, people left with smiles, friends and excitement, and one particular lesson. Their sore muscles reminded them to exercise more.
